to Dorothy Dudley the ‘Little Yellow Panel’—to repair it, and to

it.”

16 November 1965, written in the lower and right margins of Dudley’s letter to him, on “The

Museum of Modern Art” stationery, asking what type of paint she should use to restore her Calder

work, “Wall Mobile with Yellow Panel” [

Form Against Yellow,

1936?]: “The paint I use is

Ronan’s Coach Colors—Sign Craft Red, Bulletin Blue, etc. . . . I don’t use much green any more—

but that you can probably mix.”
