Kuhn (1920-2007) was a wildlife illustrator known for his contributions to Field and Stream and
Outdoor Life magazines. His skillful impressionist-realist style can largely be attributed to visits to
the Buffalo Zoo as a child, and later numerous wildlife excursions around the world where he
observed and sketched animals in their natural habitats. The National Museum of Wildlife Art in
Wyoming celebrated his 60-year career with a traveling retrospective in 2012.
