Two of the most exquisite decorative panels by Mucha designed at the height of his artistic maturity. When they were first offered for sale by the magazine La Plume in their special catalogue of Estampes et Affiches, they cost 12 francs. All of Mucha's incomparable graphic traits are on display here; consummately rendered women in profile, with ornamented halos behind their heads, luxurious jewelry in their hair, and depicted in his formidable, sophisticated pastel palette.
