(AMERICAN REVOLUTION--PRINTS.) The Honble. John Hancock, of Boston in New-England, President of the American Congress.
(AMERICAN REVOLUTION--PRINTS.) The Honble. John Hancock, of Boston in New-England, President of the American Congress. Mezzotint, 17.5 x 13 inches, by an anonymous engraver after "Littleford." Marginal pencil notations in German, brief on recto and extensive on verso, but otherwise clean; wide-margined, and a crisp impression. London: C. Shepherd, 25 October 1775
- Notes: This handsome 3/4-length view depicts Hancock holding a letter to General Putnam which he has for some reason drafted in French. The less common of the 2 Shepherd prints of Hancock, both done after paintings by the otherwise mysterious Littleford. Fowble, American Prints 63.
