ANONYMOUS PAN AMERICAN / PARIS A NEW YORK.
39x24 3/4 inches.
Condition B+: restored losses, repaired tears and creases in margins and image; pinholes in corners.
A Pan American "double-decked 'Strato' Clipper" is flying over New York City, offering a bird's-eye view of lower Manhattan and the surrounding boroughs. The Clipper "Stratocruisers" were considered the ultimate in luxurious travel when they first came out in the 1940s. Additional 450 gallon fuel tanks allowed non-stop flights to London and Paris from New York. The lower deck included a bar, lounge and Sleeperette chairs. This is the seldom-seen French version.
