One of the high spots of the Harlem Renaissance. In fact, The New Negro was the anthology that really announced the arrival of a renaissance for African-Americans in literature, art and theater. Contains contributions from just about everybody of note of the period, and is illustrated by Covarrubias and Aaron Douglas.
