Adams County, Pennsylvania, 27 August 1870 "On the oath of Sarah Mathews, setting forth that on the 2 day of April 1870 at the County of Adams, James Draden did have carnal communication with her person and begat her with child, which bastard child she is now pregnant, which when born is likely to become a charge to the said County...".
