Arts Menagers. 1934 39.5 x 24 inches. L'Architecture D'Aujourdhui, Boulogne. Condition A-: minor discolorations in margins and in image. One of the youngest of the great French Art Deco artists, Nathan thanks in large part to Jean Carlu regularly got commissioned to create posters for the Salon des Arts Menager and the Salon de l'Habitation. This image shows a stylized character, similar to the kind of figure often used by Loupot, brushing his home with a featherduster. Partitioned down the middle into red and blue sides, the poster shows the inventiveness of Nathan in his utilization of typography and color. ref.
