BROADSIDE
A Confession of David Thompson, who concealed and contrived the money of Wm. Baxter, to Harrison Riley, who was murdered by a Negro man named Essex. Broadside, 11 x 8 inches, one small hole with loss to one word; backed with archival paper. Dalonega County, Georgia, 1838 Confession of an accesory to this theft and murder case, probably printed on the occasion of the execution of the principal figure. The convoluted details of the crime and attempted but botched cover-up are interesting.
