BROADSIDE
Postscipt to the Freeman's Journal, 21 September. 16 1/2 x 13 1/4 inches. (Philadelphia: Bailey, 1781) The editor of the Freeman's Journal, Francis Bailey, often printed these "Postscripts," actually what we would now term "Extras." This particular Postscript, devoted to complaints against the Tender Laws, contains a letter from a "poor negro" in which he complains of a newly proposed act which would have sent freed blacks back into slavery.
