- Notes: "... I have been unwell for the last two or three days; & now feel myself too much indisposed to venture out even upon an occasion of so much interest. I shall be bled tomorrow - which never fails to relieve me. Miss Lane is truly sorry, that for want of company, she cannot be present. Should her Majesty deign to notice our absence, I shall trust to your friendship to make our apology acceptable."
