Pencil with white heightening on cream laid paper with a prepared gray gouache ground. 203x362 mm; 8x14 3/8 inches. Indiscerible watermark. Ex-collection unknown collector, according to Lugt "très probablement florentine, et datant du XVIIe ou du commencement du XVIIIe siècle" (Lugt 2099, upper center recto).
Ferri was Pietro da Cortona's successor and chief disciple; he completed the painting of the cielings and other decorations that his master had begun at the Pitti Palace, Florence.
