Large folio hand-colored lithograph of a massive crowd cheering the thoroughbred mares around the track during their epic contest. 20 3/4x30 inches sheet size; touches of gum arabic; slight age toning but overall excellent with bright original colors. New York, circa 1845

  • Notes: Not found in auction database records since a 1959 Parke Bernet catalog where it realized $1,900 and was described as "The rarest and finest of the Currier racing prints".
