Opening night at the Theatre St. Georges consisted of a short act, "A Night With Edgar Allan Poe," followed by Destination Inconnue [Destination Unknown] written by the prominent author Bernard Zimmer. (He and Colin would work together again in 1933 on the film Liliom, written by Zimmer and produced by Fritz Lang). For this image Colin continues to employ Grand Guignol-esque graphics, showing a woman in a coffin by candlelight with a strange, devilish apparition behind her. It is a tribute to the versatility of Colin's talent that he can be as comfortable with such incongruous, macabre images, as with his appealing Art Deco poster-portrait style. More than likely this poster would have been paired on the sidings with the poster announcing the theater's opening. Unfortunately, theater was not as successful as hoped, and Camille Choisy left at the end of the season.
