  • Notes: Highlights include a Pennsylvania Journal with the act granting John Fitch a steamship monopoly, 9 December 1786; and an early printing of the Northwest Ordinance in the Pennsylvania Packet of 21 July 1787. 4 issues date from the active period of the Revolution: Connecticut Courant (Hartford), 25 Jan 1780; Continental Journal (Boston), 17 July 1777; Independent Chronicle (Boston), 26 Aug 1779; and State Journal (Exeter, NH), 6 May 1777.
