- Notes: Caldonia is Louis Jordan's best-known short. On this colorful poster, Jordan wears a zoot suit and carries his ever present saxophone. The enormous popularity of Jordan's band, the Tympany Five, was enough to lure black audiences into the segregated theaters where the short was shown, regardless of the main feature.
