- Notes: Chicago After Dark was produced by All American Films which was known for its newsreels documenting the war activities of black soldiers in the armed services. In 1945, the company ceased making newsreels and produced Chicago After Dark, part of a series of musical comedy film shorts featuring popular comedian Lollypop Jones. While these films were poorly made, they contained some fine performances by several singing and dancing specialty performers.
