    Both Henry Lamb and Lytton Strachey, a writer and critic, were members of the Bloomsbury group of writers, philosophers, and artists who discussed agnosticism and philosophical questions of pure goodness and beauty. Other members included E.M. Forster, Clive and Vanessa Bell, Duncan Grant, John Maynard Keynes, and Leonard and Virginia Woolf. Henry Lamb's oil portrait of Lytton Strachey (1914) in the collection of the Tate, London is perhaps his most famous artwork.
