  • Notes: An important report by Jefferson detailing boundaries and various Indian and other claims within the territory ceded to the United States by North Carolina and in the Northwest Territory. Jefferson maintains that other than the claims which he has detailed, "it appears that the United States may rightfully dispose of all the lands between the Wabash, the Ohio, etc." Evans 23913.
