- Notes: Because of his renowned love of animals and consistently charming depiction of them in his work, it was only logical that Steinlen was asked to design the poster for the second exhibition of artistes animaliers (Artists of Animals) in 1909. After the poster was printed, he used the same stone for this lithograph; in the process the text was removed and "two color stones were added to give a purple tone to the background and relief to the subject" (Crauzat p. 94). Crauzat no. 293.
- Condition: Condition B+: minor losses, discoloration and tear in margins; tape and archival tape on verso. Paper.
