(MARITIME.) Articles of Agreement for the Brigantine Fair American of Philadelphia bound for the West Indies, accomplished by shipmaster Azel Howard and signed by each member of the crew. Folio, unbound; repaired tear, other minor separations. Philadelphia, 1800

on a 1790s broadside form printed in baltimore with the act for the government and regulation of seamen in the merchants' service printed on verso. The imprint below the Act reads "Baltimore: Printed and Sold by W. Pechin, No. 15, Baltimore-Street" and on the accomplished portion of the form the date 179- has been crossed out and filled in as 1800. "[Articles of Agreement] rank among the more valuable and comprehensive research sources, providing important information for a great number of marine subjects"--Stern, American Maritime Documents, page 17.
