Silver print comprised of 40 photographs, each measuring approximately 3.5 inches square, overall size 20 x 60 inches. 1976-80 E4000-6000 The voyage of the Viking Orbiter, which took these images lasted for four years, from 1976 to 1980 During this time, the Viking, equipped with a television camera, photographed Mars, among other planets, and sent its images back to the earth. The radio-transmitted views were then turned into prints to be assembled by the U S. Geological Survey.
