Mile widely shown at tographic exhibitions, the work received its greatest distinction after having been appropriated by the Maltex Cereal Company for a national advertising campaign. As Wiggins would write "While crossing the continent, I looked out the train window at almost every stop and saw my little girl in striped yellow and black stockings decorating a billboard."
