Cardinaux designed his first poster for Schuster, an oriental rug company, in 1916, depicting a languorous beauty reclining on a couch. In 1924, for his second poster, he employs a sophisticated mannerist style to evoke an Orientalist theme in line with the tales of 1001 Arabian Nights. Cardinaux 96.
