It is also unusual as his talent was recognized at the time by H. N. Werkman, one of the key modernist figures in the world of Dutch design. This poster was printed at the Werkman studio in Groningen, which in and of itself is a sign of graphic excellence. In an ingenious, almost imperceptible manner he has visually interwoven a man's profile with abstract flowers, and text, cleverly differentiating between the date and the event through the color of the typography.
