Hohlwein was a passionate equestrian, and often employed images of horses, horse jumping or horse racing in his advertisements for sports and hunting goods stores. His most famous posters were for Hermann Scherrer, but he also worked for Hermann Tietz. These two images not only highlight the animals, but also the elegant people who attended the races.
