London, 1779 FIRST EDITION. American Surgeon John Redman Coxe's copy (1773-1869), Signed in typical fashion, vertically on the title page. This account of the sufferings from the fever and Guinea worm aboard a slaver is quite detailed and not for the faint hearted. One of the cases is that of seaman Peter Williams, "a very strong mulatto creole, aged about 34 (page 154)." Not in Blake.
