First edition, first printing, quarto; 12 full-color plates and text illustrations by Neill; bound in Binding A: red cloth, pictorial label to front board, with the publisher's spine imprint in boldface type, illustrated endpapers, all edges stained yellow; with the first state dust jacket listing titles through Yellow Knight on the rear flap (chips at edges, 2 in. tear to rear panel, faint soiling; occasional offsetting from plates, pencil ownership inscription in a few places; extremities lightly rubbed, lower pastedown partially split at hinge, small area of toning to endpapers); 9 x 6 ½ in.
