Group of 11 Autograph Notes Signed, "Sol" or "S[ol] & C[arol]," to his accountant Sy Grenbaum and wife Gloria,

each on a postcard or small card, giving travel plans, sending a new address, inquiring about Printed Matter [artist book publishing company co-founded by LeWitt], etc., most featuring a reproduction of a photograph depicting an object or place in Europe.

  • Notes: 1 May [1975]: "[Gallerist] Konrad Fischer says he sent information to you. I hope you can finish the tax--get the money from John. Edinburgh & Scotland (went up to to [sic] Argyll on NW coast) is beautiful. I enjoyed my stay there. John showed up for opening. . . ."

    23 November [1975]: "Did wall drawings at Geneva & now visiting friends at Basel & Zurich. Going to Italy soon. How are things at Printed Matter? . . ."

    [15 May 1986?]: "In a cave overlooking the sea at Praiano, we have discovered crates of artists receipts and Carol/Sol & Carol/Michael are shipping them to your NY office. P.S., they are all made of clay & weight about six tons. P.S.S.  they all shipped C.O.D. --Watch out!! Sign & return immediately. Have a nice summer."
