E Wallcut, 1861 E1000-1500 First Edition. A very scarce pamphlet by William Howard Day the printer of John Brown's 1858 Provisional Constitution. Day 1825-1900, abolitionist, printer, author, educator and clergyman, was born to well-to-do parents in New York City and sent to private school and then to Oberlin. After graduation, He became totally dedicated to the cause of abolition. Rayford Logan, in his Dictionary of American Negro Biography New York, 1982, gives a detailed history of Day's many accomplishments. Sabin 42565 without giving any authorship,.
