  • Condition: LOT 82

William Garnett's "Sewage Treatment Tank, Santa Paula, California" is a stunning example of his abstract style and overall all in very good condition.

Under very close inspection in strong raking light, it is possible to see a few minor impressions clustered in the middle of the top and bottom edges of the print, as well as two pinpoint-sized chips in the top cluster.

The print has no margins and is flush mounted on board. Under very close inspection it is possible to see some small light chipping along the top and left edges and softening of the bottom corners. There is a small crescent-shaped impression sequestered to the bottom far-right edge of the print.

Under typical viewing conditions, these imperfections are likely to go unnoticed and don't detract from the overall presentation of the work.

The mount verso is clean, with Garnett's credit stamp with the date "1953," the title in pencil, and Peter Pollack's Art Institute Chicago stamp

Provenance: The Collection of Neil Robert Berzak.
