It was an honor to organize and curate such exceptional, poignant, beautiful and rare pieces, from first editions by James Baldwin to an inscribed first edition of Walt Whitman’s Memoranda of the War to his lover Peter Doyle. The auction was filled with historic material that resonated with us, and its results made as all proud of the effort.
