Who do I contact for help with the Swann Galleries app?

Most Swann Galleries staff can help with basic questions. For inquiries regarding your account, email live@swanngalleries.com or call (212) 254-4710.

 

 

What does the app do?

You can browse upcoming auctions, place order bids and bid live. You can also watch lots and manage your bids placed on the app. Please note that order bids placed outside the Swann Galleries app are confirmed separately, and will not be visible on the app.

 

 

What is the buyer’s premium?

For any item purchased directly through Swann, including on our app, the buyer's premium is 25% of the hammer price, up to and including $100,000; 20% of the hammer price above $100,000, up to and including $1,000,000; 12% of the hammer price after $1,000,000. Our buyer's premium and any applicable sales tax and shipping costs, as outlined in our Terms and Conditions of Sale, are added to the hammer price of each lot sold.

 

 

Do I have to register to watch live?

No, but we do encourage registering if you’re interested in bidding, as registration approval can take a few minutes, and we don’t want you to miss out on something great.

 

 

How long does it take to be approved to bid after registering for a sale?

This can take several minutes, depending on the status of your account and whether or not you have bid with us before. Please register in advance. If you are not approved before the sale, contact live@swanngalleries.com or call (212) 254-4710.

 

 

Will this app send me notifications?

If you have notifications enabled, you will get push alerts when the sale is about to begin. This is useful, but optional and can be disabled.

 

 

I already have a swanngalleries.com account, do I need to sign up again for the app?

Yes. The app requires an additional signup, but you may use the same credentials that are on your swanngalleries.com account. If you are successful in bidding on the app, you will be invoiced and your purchases will be connected with your preexisting Swann client account.

 

 

What is the difference between the Swann Galleries app and Invaluable?

While both platforms allow you to bid live, you will only see auctions and content from Swann on our app. Additionally, there is no third-party commission for purchases made via the Swann Galleries app.

 

 

I’ve exceeded my bid limit, who do I contact for an increase?

We reserve the right to set a bid limit. To request a bid limit increase or find out if we’ve placed a limit on your registration, contact live@swanngalleries.com or call (212) 254-4710.

 

 

How do I reset my password?

If you forgot your password or want to make an account change, you can do so directly from the app.

 

 

I’ve moved or otherwise changed address, what do I do?

Update your account information on the app. To avoid a delay in updating throughout Swann, we recommend contacting live@swanngalleries.com with your new information.
