Mucha’s design for the cover of
La Plume
was used
for several years by the magazine. The image shows
a classically posed Mucha muse emerging from the
stylized, feathery folds of a plumed Pegasus. She
has drawn her quills, and therefore her inspiration,
from this beautiful, magical being.
