Gathered India proofs inlaid to uniformity. Folio, early straight grain
morocco gilt, some wear at extremities, rebacked and retaining the title label and label
identifying it as volume 6 of Oeuvres. Paris, probably 1770s

It is uncertain whether these plates have been gathered and bound as part of a larger group by a
collector.They appear to be Proofs before Letters, with only the title (or sectional title) identifying
the plates following them. Several of the volumes collate as listed in the Berlin catalogue.
