congressional district, 19 lines in holograph.The first two pages submitting the question, in

a folded sheet; separations at center vertical fold with some loss at lower edge, faint scat-

tered foxing.The letter, to “My dear Sir,” awaiting an answer from D. McLean concerning

an anticipated trip. 1 page, 4to; minor staining touching signature, some chipping at lower

and right edges, short closed tear at left edge, docketing verso, folds.
