  • Condition: Hurrell's glamours portfolio of 8 Hollywood stars depicted in larger-than-life cinematic compositions is in nearly excellent condition. The prints are rich and clean, with lush, contrasty surfaces, and a clean, neat presentation.

About half of the photographs evidence a very faint and soft handling mark, including: Greta Garbo, Johnny Weissmuller, Douglas Fairbanks, Dorothy Lamour, and Robert Taylor. This is always difficult to discern, and only visible when viewing the print in strong, raking light. It is minor. The sheets are very lightly rippled at the far edges, a result of the drying process.

The margins and versos are clean and bright. With the colophon and printed text pages, all of which are neat. The portfolio clamshell box is also very clean and neat.
