  • Notes: unique hand-colored copy of the atlas to cook's third and last voyage, apparently at one time in a Persian or North Indian collection, possibly not long after publication, with annotations in persian on all but six of the plates explaining the subject matter of the illustrations. One plate has 2 partly indistinct stamps possibly referring to the Mughal emperor Shah Alam II (1728-1806). The missing plates are A Man of Nootka Sound; A Woman of Nootka Sound; A Man of Oonalashka; A Woman of Oonalashka; and Sea Horses.
