  • Condition: This group of 13 F.S.A. photographs by Marion Post Wolcott is in excellent condition. The prints are nearly all without flaw, with rich, velvety surfaces and clean, bright presentations.

Only two prints evidence minor imperfections. One print (the image with the man on a horse) evidences a handling crease in the lower margin that just slight impacts the lower edge of the image area. Another image (of farm workers in a field) shows a small half-moon handling crease near the lower center edge, but this is nearly fully obscured by the graphic nature of the image and is not visible under typical viewing conditions.

The margins and versos are also bright, neat, and clean. Each of the prints has a penciled number in the margin on recto, and each with a Library of Congress stamp and the RA number in pencil on verso.

Overall a striking group from Wolcott.
