Valentine I Peinture Email. 1928 63 x 47 inches. Henri Burg, Paris. Condition B: discoloration along vertical and horizontal folds,. unobtrusive abrasions and skinning in image. As he did for his most important clients, Loupot, commissioned by Valentine Paints, designed a funny little character to play with in the posters. Besides this poster, the Valentine Harlequin pops up again for an image advertisingboth pistol and brush painting and airbrush. Here, the character paints with the great choice of colors that Valentine has to offer. AsZagrodski notes in his book, the skilled Loupot uses 7 different colors to build this image: yellow, blue, red, light green, dark green gray, and black. The beautiful lettering in this poster also deservessome attention, as it was hand-drawn by the artist. ref. Loupot by Christophe Zagrodzki, Le Cherche Midi editeur, Paris, 1998 - p.75, no.77
