Tavistock House was the residence of Dickens from 1851 to 1860. In the later part of 1856
Dickens began turning the schoolroom into what became known as “the smallest theatre in
the world.” The present broadside advertises the first two plays to be performed in the newly
created theatre. The cast of both productions included members of the Dickens family as well
as close friends (includingWilkie Collins).A rare piece of Dickensiana.
