Boyle was an important and prolific illustrator for
over two decades.His work appeared on the covers
of The Saturday Evening Post, Reader’s Digest,
Good Housekeeping, in Rand Corporation
publications, on U.S. Commemorative Stamps,
forWalt Disney Productions, and in documentary
paintings commissioned by the U. S. Air Force
Historical Program held in the Smithsonian
Institute and the Pentagon. He won a Lifetime
Achievement Award from The Society of
Illustrators of LosAngeles—Reed,The Illustrator
in America 1860-2000, page 337.
