ship production. Next to each name is their occupation, which in many cases is related to the
shipyards, or other naval related jobs. The 3000 acre yards employed over 25,000 civilian
workers, building destroyers and destroyer escorts. It also was the arrival point for disembarking
the wounded brought back home. Strangely enough, OCLC located no copies of this, or any of
the three preceding directories produced by Baldwin and Southern.
